This is Kairos.

Kairos is the third volume in Heather Neff's trilogy of chapbooks, which includes The Paris Hours and Vespers. Neff explains: "I first encountered John Donne's Holy Sonnets as a child, and his thorny, irreverently reverent verse captured my soul. After publishing the first two volumes of this trilogy I decided to discipline my lawless spirit by writing poetry in established forms of verse."

 

This collection includes Neff's Holy Sonnets, Love Sonnets, and Solstice Sonnets--the author's ruminations on the interstices between life, death, the healing power of nature, and the sacred vitality of feminine wisdom.
